Membership

The Science Club is designed for ANYONE interest in the sciences. You DO NOT have to be a science major or minor to join. We try to invite various speakers that range from graduate school recruiters in the sciences to academic speakers, and even local Alumni. We also try to participate in community service programs like Girl Scout Badge Clinics and outreach programs at the Virginia Aquarium.

Professional Affiliations

American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS)
The AIBS student chapters serve the academic and professional interests of students in the biological sciences. Members of chapters are ambassadors for their chapter, department, college, and AIBS. Our student chapter supports the mission of the AIBS to promote biological research and education that advances science and benefits society.

American Chemical Society (ACS)
VWC Science Club is a student affiliate chapter of the ACS, a professional society with members worldwide. As an established society, ACS members include academic, government, and industrial professionals, as well as graduate and undergraduate students. ACS affiliation provides students with opportunities for networking, mentoring, research, leadership, teamwork, service learning, and community outreach.
