The race for the Democratic and Republican nominations as presidential candidate was in our own backyard.
This past Tuesday was dubbed the Potomac Primary, with Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia all going to the polls to vote in the primary elections. These three states became important to all campaigns following a closely contested Super Tuesday the week before, with Democratic candidates Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama vying for delegates and Sen. John McCain reaching for an opportunity to lock up the GOP nomination.
