An undefeated season has been completed at Virginia Wesleyan College. However, its not the sport you may think of first, but still, it s a great accomplishment. The RecX Ultimate Frisbee intramural season was put to rest. Even though there were only two teams, Kappa Alpha and Phi Kappa Tau, it was still a hard fought battle to be number one. As the final game rolled around, the undefeated PKT team was ready to bring home the championship.

We knew coming into today s game was going to be challenging Raymond Ray Ray Jones said, But we were ready.

The game started with a bang and both teams kept the other from scoring for the first 5 minutes. After a missed opportunity for PKT by dropping a score, KA went down the field and scored first. Yet again, PKT was able to drive down the field and miss wide open scores. With another defensive stop KA would take a 2-0 lead early in the game.

However, PKT was able to buckle down its defense, open up its offense and start scoring. The leader of the charge was Kyle Jeter.

We said ok, enough is enough. Let s tighten up our game and get things going. said Kyle Jeter, leader of the charge.

That he did. In a matter of 45 seconds, the game had gone from 2-0, to 2-2 after a thrown touchdown by Jeter.

Jeter would lead his team on a 6-0 run and take a 6-2 lead. Things seem to be clicking for this team as they weren t missing any more chances as they did to start out.

A huge reversed out of bounds call by the ref seemed to turn the momentum back to KA s side as they scored on 2 throws.

Unhappy with the call, PKT seemed to get off track again as it began missing their targets and turning over the Frisbee continuously. It would take a huge defensive interception to turn the tide back to PKT as they scored off one throw to make it 7-3 at the half.

KA seemed to think that they could get back on a hot streak in the second half, but PKT knew they had to keep bringing the heat.

We have to come out firing George Florence said. We have to go back out there and keep going after them and making sure we win this game.

They would do just that as within the first 30 seconds, they drove down and scored to make an 8-3 game. After a sloppy turnover and a great defensive interception, KA fought right back and scored to make it 8-4.

I knew it was time to do it. The time was now to put this away and to give it all we got. Jeter said.

He would eventually deliver as he would throw the next 5 touchdowns to go up 13-4. This would bring his total up to 8 passing touchdowns for the day. But the game was not over. Intercepting the next two passes, KA would bring the score to 13-6 and seemed to be getting into the groove. That groove was eventually rutted out as PKT went down the field and scored to make it 14-6, gamepoint.

After several sloppy drives, PKT went back to their old faithful, Jeter, to win the game. He threw his 9th touchdown to a wide open Ray Ray in the corner of the endzone.

We played a great game today, and we have played great every game. To win this one, it felt awesome. Jeter said.

The season was capped off with a picture of the winning Phi Kappa Tau team.
