Building Bears for the Children's Hospital September 12,2007

2 hours

 The bear making experience was great because i was the sewer. My grandmother taught me how to sew and it came to good use. Also we stuffed and put faces on the bears. i really enjoyed this experience, and i enjoyed meeting Mrs. Farris's mother, Mimi. Over all this experience was so much fun and i would do it again. the two hours went by quickly.

5 k Campus Run                          1 hour The 5 k campus run was an important community service activity because i helped a teammate of mine who was last complete the run. in that aspect i won a t-shirt and other small prizes. overall this was a better experience than I thought it would be. i enjoyed the campus/walk run.
October Service          
Building bears 10/25/07

bear making in my room                   2 hrs I brought home 3 or 4 bears, and worked on stuffing the bears in my room.
Artisan expo volunteer

11-4-07

                    2 hrs The artisan expo was an event put on by the Adult Studies Program. The event was to benefit their funds. the expo was a combination of all types of arts: from statues, paintings, knitted hats, Christmas ornaments and jewelry. our job consisted of relieving any artist that needed a break. I think the expo would have been better if they had more traffic in the CMAC. Overall i enjoyed helping out at the artisan expo.
Halloween passing out candy to little kids 10-29                          3 hrs In the CMAC I helped tell where the kids needed to go to find candy. Then I was at one of the stops and passed out candy. The little kids had really cool costumes. i had to go out and buy a couple bags of candy too.
Campus Parade                        3 hrs I helped set up the parade and made sure everything was ready. then I participated with my Lacrosse Team. We ended up Winning $250 for being so spirited.

Cotillion Volunteer

                      4 hours On Saturday night my friend and I went to go help out at the 2nd annual cotillion event. we helped register guests, set up place settings and pass out books. i was so tired by the end of it that I just wanted to leave. so I did not get to see much of the cotillion but i was very helpful.
