My birth name is Anita but I decided that since I'm in a new place, surround by new people, I'd go by the name Brook-Lynn, to let them know where I'm from. I absolutely love music and writing; they're my anti-drug. They're mean to me what drugs mean to Lindsey Lohan. Well, maybe not that bad, but they're really important to me. Music and writing offer serenity, freedom and an escape from reality, even if only for a moment. Currently I attend Virginia Wesleyan College and major in journalism. I hope to one day become a journalist for a fashion magazine! Absolutely love fashion and writing, so why not put the two together right? Anyway, I applied to Wesleyan because I heard about it through my friend, father, and college counselor; I decided to stay at VWC because it a small campus and I wanted to experience something that was complete different from New York. And as for joining the PORTfolio Program, I wanted to move into my dorm earlier and meet new people! Also The program offers so many wonder opportunities and the professors are awesome! I'm energetic and athletic & love to have fun in whatever I do. Well, that's it!!
